Brown Sugar Quick Bread

Brown Sugar Quick Bread combines brown sugar, cinnamon, and vanilla in a moist batter baked into mini loaves or muffins. The bread’s sweetness is enhanced by a sprinkle of brown sugar on top before baking, which forms a gently crisp crust. Its soft crumb and comforting flavors make it suitable for breakfast or a snack paired with tea or coffee.

Description

This Brown Sugar Quick Bread is made by mixing dry ingredients—brown sugar, flour, cinnamon, baking powder, and salt—with a wet mixture of egg, milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract. The batter is poured into pans and optionally topped with extra brown sugar for a sweet, slightly crunchy surface after baking. Baking times vary by pan size, with mini loaves taking around 35-40 minutes, large loaves 50-60 minutes, and muffins about 25-30 minutes.

The bread results in a soft, tender texture with a cinnamon-spiced sweetness and subtle vanilla aroma. The use of brown sugar throughout enriches the flavor and moisture. It’s a straightforward quick bread that does not require yeast or rising time, making it approachable for home baking.

This bread can be served sliced for breakfast or as a sweet treat. Its mild sweetness pairs well with spreads, butter, or simply enjoyed plain. Cooling slightly before serving allows the crumb to set for easier slicing.
