Buffalo Chicken Wonton Cups

This Buffalo chicken wonton cups recipe is basically Buffalo chicken dip and chips in one cup! It's they perfect party food for your event.

Ingredients

  • 1 brick (8 oz) cream cheese room temperature
  • ½ cup buffalo sauce
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 ½ teaspoon parsley dried
  • 1 cup chicken shredded
  • 2 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 24 wonton wrappers

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. In a medium sized mixing bowl, use an electric hand mixer to whip the cream cheese together with the buffalo sauce. Mix on a low-medium speed until the mixture is smooth and homogenous.
  3. Use the hand mixer to incorporate the chicken and spices into the cream cheese mixture. Mix until the chicken is evenly distributed throughout the mixture.
  4. Line a mini muffin tin with wonton wrappers and place a spoonful of cream cheese filling into each wrapper.
  5. Brush the tops of the cups with oil, being sure to get the exposed edges of the wonton wrappers. Bake the cups for 12 minutes, or until golden brown.
  6. Serve and enjoy!

Notes

  • It is important to make sure the exposed portion of the wrappers is brushed with oil. If they aren’t brushed with oil, they will not crisp up. 
  • Make sure to use room temperature cream cheese for the filling so that it’s easy to mix with the buffalo sauce and other ingredients.
  • Use a hand mixer when making the filling, as this will ensure that everything is evenly blended and there are no lumps of cream cheese left in the mixture.
  • Line your mini muffin tin with wonton wrappers carefully – they should fit snugly into each cup so that they don’t come undone while baking.
  • Serve warm - these taste best right out of the oven, so enjoy them while they’re still hot.
