  • ¼ cup molasses
  • ¼ cup honey liquid
  • 1 teaspoon liquid smoke
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ¼ teaspoon chili powder
  • ¼ teaspoon paprika
  • ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper

Instructions

  1. Grab a resealable bag and throw wings inside. Add enough oil to coat and dump on baking sheet covered in tinfoil. Sprinkle wings with salt and pepper. Bake the chicken wings at 400 degrees F for 60 minutes and golden brown.
  2. Get out and measure your ingredients.
  3. Using a medium saucepan, over medium heat, add ketchup, white vinegar, molasses, honey, liquid smoke, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, chili powder and cayenne pepper. Stir to combine. Bring the sauce to a boil, reduce heat and simmer on low, uncovered, for 20 minutes.
  4. Remove from heat.
  5. Remove your chicken wings from the oven and allow them to cool slightly. Place the wings in a a large, heat resistant bowl.
  6. Drizzle sauce on wings.
  7. Toss wings in honey barbecue sauce.
  8. Serve with sauce on side for dipping, if desired.
  9. Serve immediately. Enjoy every bite!

Notes

  • Be sure your wings are thoroughly dry before frying to avoid major spattering.
  • Place the wings in the hot oil, don't drop them in.
  • Be sure to only fry 3 to 5 wings at a time so you don't overcrowd the pot.
