Buttermilk Waffles
Description
Buttermilk Waffles are prepared by mixing dry ingredients including flour, baking powder, and salt. Wet ingredients such as buttermilk, neutral cooking oil, and egg yolks are added and stirred in. Separately, egg whites are beaten until stiff peaks form, then folded gently into the batter to produce a light and airy texture. The batter is poured into a preheated waffle maker, generously greased to prevent sticking, and cooked until golden and crisp. The resulting waffles have a crispy exterior and tender crumb inside. Serving with caramel syrup and whipped cream introduces a rich, sweet contrast to the tangy buttermilk base.
