Butterscotch Chip Cookies

Butterscotch Chip Cookies are chewy and buttery with a blend of butterscotch and milk chocolate chips. The dough is creamed with softened unsalted butter and a mix of sugars to create a tender crumb, then chilled briefly to improve handling and texture before baking to golden perfection. These cookies combine two types of sweet chips for a richer, layered sweetness.

Description

Butterscotch Chip Cookies start by creaming softened unsalted butter with white and brown sugars to form a fluffy base. Eggs and vanilla extract are then incorporated, followed by sifted flour, baking soda, and salt for structure. Butterscotch and milk chocolate chips are folded in to distribute sweet flavor pockets throughout. The batter is chilled for 30 minutes to firm up the dough, reducing spread during baking. Cookies are scooped and baked at 375°F for about 8-9 minutes, developing light golden edges with a chewy center and soft crumb. The dual chips provide a balance of caramel-like butterscotch richness and creamy milk chocolate. These cookies are ideal as a classic sweet treat for sharing or snacks.
