Cabbage and Sausage Foil Packets
Description
This recipe assembles a hearty mix of Polish sausage, quartered small potatoes, wedges of cabbage, sliced onions, and minced garlic into foil packets. The ingredients are tossed with olive oil, fresh parsley, apple cider vinegar, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper, then topped with butter before sealing.
The packets are grilled or oven-baked at 400°F, cooking the sausage through and softening the vegetables while retaining moisture. Flipping the packets during grilling ensures even cooking. The apple cider vinegar adds a subtle acidity to balance the richness of sausage and butter.
After resting, the foil packets can be served with fresh parsley garnishing and optional sides like sour cream and lemon for extra brightness. This hands-off cooking method allows for easy cleanup and a flavorful combination of smoky, tangy, and buttery tastes.
