Cajun Shrimp and Sausage
Description
Cajun Shrimp and Sausage features peeled and deveined medium shrimp alongside sliced turkey sausage, zucchini, red bell pepper, and red onion. These ingredients are tossed with olive oil and Cajun seasoning, then baked at 400°F until cooked through and lightly caramelized. The roasting process blends the smoky spice of the seasoning with the savory, meaty sausage and the natural sweetness of the vegetables. The shrimp remain tender, providing a contrast to the firmer sausage and softened vegetables.
The dish can be served directly from the pan, garnished with parsley for freshness, or spooned over cooked pasta to complement the spices and textures. This makes it versatile for a quick weeknight dinner or a relaxed weekend meal.
