Cajun Shrimp Pasta Recipe

Cajun Shrimp Pasta features penne noodles simmered in a spicy tomato-based sauce infused with Cajun seasoning, garlic, and jalapeño. Cream and Parmesan cheese enrich the sauce, creating a creamy texture that balances the bold spices. Sautéed seasoned shrimp are combined with the pasta and sauce, producing a flavorful dish with a blend of heat, creaminess, and savory seafood notes. Garnishes of parsley and red pepper flakes add freshness and color.

Description

The recipe begins by sautéing onion and jalapeño in vegetable oil, followed by minced garlic for aroma. Fire-roasted tomatoes and optional tomato sauce are added along with Cajun seasoning and simmered to develop deep, spicy flavors. Meanwhile, penne pasta is cooked al dente and set aside.

Shrimp are tossed with Cajun seasoning and cooked separately in oil until opaque and tender. The sauce is enriched with heavy cream and Parmesan cheese to add richness and smoothness. The cooked pasta and shrimp are then combined into the sauce, ensuring all components are thoroughly coated.

The completed dish features creamy, spicy, and savory notes characteristic of Cajun cuisine. Garnishing with fresh parsley and red pepper flakes enhances both taste and presentation. This pasta works well as a main dish for dinner with its balance of seafood and pasta in a seasoned cream sauce.
