Cake Mix Waffles
Description
Cake Mix Waffles use a standard cake mix combined with oil, water, and egg as directed by the package. The prepared batter is poured into a preheated and lightly greased waffle iron. Careful not to overfill, the batter expands while cooking.
The waffle maker cooks the cake batter for approximately 3 to 4 minutes producing a waffle with crisp edges and a soft interior, blending the lightness of waffles with the sweetness and flavor of cake.
This recipe is flexible regarding cake mix flavor – chocolate, lemon, or white cake mixes are all suitable, allowing for varied tastes and presentations. The result can be served as a breakfast treat or a fun dessert, possibly accompanied by syrup, fruit, or cream.
Ingredients
- 1 cake mix any flavor
- oil according to the cake mix package
- water
- egg
Instructions
- Prepare your Cake mix as directed.
- I used a white cake mix, because that is what I had on hand, but you could use any flavor. I am thinking chocolate and even lemon would be wonderful!
- Heat up your waffle maker and spray with nonstick spray.
- Pour cake batter in waffle maker. Be careful not to fill it up too much. It expands quite a bit.
- Allow it to cook for about 3-4 minutes. It doesn't take long, and you can enjoy a delicious cake!
