Carne Asada Fries (Best Ever!)
Description
Carne Asada Fries (Best Ever!) features hand-cut russet potato fries seasoned with avocado oil, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper before baking until crisp. The carne asada steak is prepared separately with a marinade and grilled. Once the fries are baked, they are topped with shredded cheddar cheese and tender slices of carne asada. To finish, dollops of guacamole and sour cream add creaminess and balance to the hearty dish.
The combination provides a mix of textures from the crunchy fries to juicy meat and smooth, creamy toppings. Paprika and garlic powder add a subtle smoky and savory note to the fries. Cheddar cheese melts slightly over the hot fries, enhancing the comforting character of the meal.
This dish is practical for enjoying as a filling casual meal or sharing as an appetizer. The components can be cooked concurrently to save time, with the meat grilling as the fries bake in the oven. Guacamole made fresh enhances the flavor significantly.
Leftover carne asada is suitable for other dishes like tacos. Homemade guacamole is recommended for the freshest taste, substituting store-bought versions if desired.
