Celery Juice Recipe (How To Make Celery Juice)

This Celery Juice recipe guides you through blending fresh organic celery stalks into a smooth paste, then straining it to extract clear juice. Removing the celery leaves reduces bitterness, resulting in a crisp, refreshing juice that captures the vegetable's clean flavor. It’s a straightforward process yielding a hydrating drink commonly consumed in the morning.

Description

The preparation starts by separating and washing the celery stalks, then removing the leaves at the top which contain most of the bitterness. The stalks are roughly chopped to manageable pieces suited to the blender’s power. Blending on high purees the celery into a smooth mush. This pulp is then strained using a mesh strainer to separate the juice from fibrous solids. Pressing the pulp ensures maximum juice extraction, and the remaining pulp is discarded.

The resulting juice is clear and light, embodying celery’s fresh vegetal flavor with minimal bitterness thanks to leaf removal. The juice has a watery texture, making it easy to drink straight or use as a base in other beverages.

Consuming celery juice on an empty stomach in the morning is suggested by the notes to maximize effects. Waiting 20-30 minutes before consuming other drinks allows the juice to be absorbed without interference. This simple juicing method suits those seeking a pure, fresh celery drink without additional ingredients or sweeteners.

Ingredients

Servings
  • 1 bunch celery organic

Instructions

  1. Separate and wash the celery stalks. Shake off any extra water.
  2. Cut the leaves off the top of the stalks. (Most of the bitterness comes from the leaves.)
  3. Roughly chop the celery into pieces. (If you have a Vitamix or BlendTech, you can probably cut the celery into 3-4 inch segments. Yet if you are unsure how powerful your blender is, chop it smaller.)
  4. Place the chopped celery in the blender. Make sure the lid is on tight. Puree on high until the celery is smooth mush.
  5. Place the mesh strainer over the glass. Pour the celery pulp into the strainer and wait for the juice to separate down below.
  6. When it starts to slow, press the celery pulp with your hand (or a spoon) to squeeze out all the juice. Discard the pulp.

Notes

  • For best results, drink celery juice in the morning on an empty stomach.
  • Wait 20 to 30 minutes after drinking before consuming other beverages.
