Champagne Punch

Champagne Punch blends pomegranate juice, ginger ale, orange juice, triple sec, lime juice, and champagne for a sparkling, fruity beverage balanced between tart and sweet. The inclusion of fresh garnishes like cranberries and mint adds a festive appearance and light herbal notes. This punch offers a refreshing drink option for gatherings where a sparkling cocktail is desired.

Description

The Champagne Punch recipe combines a mix of pomegranate juice, ginger ale or club soda, orange juice, triple sec (or Cointreau), and fresh lime juice, finished by topping with champagne or sparkling wine. Chilling the juice mixture beforehand melds the flavors before serving. The drink offers a fruity, effervescent character with citrus and berry undertones.

Garnishing with fresh cranberries, mint, and pomegranate arils provides visual appeal and subtle aromatic enhancements. Ice keeps the punch cool when served in cocktail glasses filled about two-thirds with the juice blend and then topped with champagne.

For variation, adding simple syrup or extra ginger ale can increase sweetness. Creating festive ice cubes by freezing fruit inside the ice adds decorative interest and prevents floating fruit. The recipe suits social events looking for a sparkling, non-heavy cocktail.

Ingredients

Servings
  • 3 cups pomegranate juice
  • 2 cups ginger ale or club soda (or to taste)
  • 1 cup orange juice
  • cup triple sec or Cointreau
  • 1 ½ tablespoons lime juice fresh
  • 750 milliliters champagne or sparkling wine
  • ice for garnish, limes, fresh cranberries, pomegranate arils and mint
  • Fruit for garnish, limes, fresh cranberries, pomegranate arils and mint

Instructions

  1. Combine pomegranate juice, ginger ale, orange juice, triple sec, and lime juice in a drink pitcher. Cover and refrigerate up to 24 hours.
  2. Fill cocktail glasses ⅔ full with the juice mixture (about 6 ounces). Add ice and top with champagne or sparkling wine (about 3 ounces).
  3. Garnish with cranberries, mint, and pomegranate arils.

  • For a sweeter punch, add simple syrup or more ginger ale to taste.
  • Create festive ice cubes by freezing fruit (cranberries, lime slices, mint) in water in ice trays to add color and prevent fruit from floating.
