Cheeseburger French Fry Casserole
Description
The Cheeseburger French Fry Casserole begins by cooking ground beef until no longer pink and draining excess fat. A sauce made from dill pickle relish, ketchup, mustard, garlic, and cream of mushroom soup is combined and poured over the beef to provide tang, moisture, and savory depth. Cheddar cheese is sprinkled atop before layering frozen French fries to cover the surface.
Baking at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for about 40 minutes cooks the fries through and melts the cheese, while the underlying mixture becomes a cheesy, tangy filling with burger flavors. The fries develop a crispy exterior contrasting the sauce beneath. This casserole reinterprets classic cheeseburger ingredients into a convenient baked dish.
It works well as a casual dinner or potluck dish, providing familiar flavors in a form that can be prepared ahead and baked as needed.
