Cheeseburger Salad with Skinny Special Sauce
Description
The Cheeseburger Salad begins with 1 pound of ground beef cooked with steak seasoning until browned and crumbly. A single serving of the cooked beef is layered over chopped romaine lettuce. Shredded reduced-fat cheddar cheese, halved tomatoes, thinly sliced red onion, and no-sugar-added bread and butter pickles are added as toppings. Optional Skinny Special Sauce can be drizzled for extra flavor.
This salad delivers the familiar combination of burger ingredients while providing a fresher texture and lighter alternative to a traditional cheeseburger. The cooked ground beef acts as a hearty protein base, complemented by the fresh vegetables and cheese. The sauce adds a creamy and tangy dimension reminiscent of burger sauces.
The recipe yields 4-5 servings of seasoned beef, allowing leftovers for additional salads or meals. This makes the dish practical for meal prep or enjoying layered burger flavors without bread. Black pepper can be added to taste before serving.
The salad is a convenient way to enjoy classic cheeseburger elements in a bowl form, suitable for those looking to reduce carbs or add more greens.
