Cheeseburger Stuffed Meatballs
Description
Cheeseburger Stuffed Meatballs are crafted by mixing lean ground beef with seasoned breadcrumbs, grated onion, and condiments like mustard, ketchup, and mayonnaise. The grated onion blends seamlessly into the meat, maintaining a smooth mixture that encases cheddar cheese pieces completely. Baking at 400°F cooks the meatballs through, melting the cheese inside without leakage. The meatballs develop a moist texture with a burst of melted cheese centered in each bite.
The toppings featuring dill pickles, lettuce, and tomatoes mirror traditional cheeseburger accompaniments, and serving with Hellmann's Burger Sauce or Spicy Dipping Sauce adds extra layers of flavor. This presentation makes these meatballs suitable as appetizers, snacks, or a main dish paired with a side salad or fries.
Grating the onion with a cheese grater enhances flavor without creating lumps, helping to secure the cheese inside each meatball. The included dill pickle dip uses mayonnaise, sour cream, chopped pickles, and spices, adjusted with pickle juice to desired consistency for a complementary dipping experience.
