Cheeseburger Tots
Description
This recipe uses frozen tater tots pressed into mini muffin cups to create small crispy shells baked before filling with a beef mixture. The beef is browned with finely diced onions, then combined with mayonnaise, yellow mustard, ketchup, and pickle relish for a cheeseburger-inspired flavor. The filling is spooned into the baked tater tot cups, then topped with shredded cheddar cheese and baked again until the cheese melts and the filling is heated through.
Once out of the oven, the tots are cooled slightly before removing from the pan. A special sauce, crafted from mayonnaise, pickle relish, yellow mustard, white wine vinegar, paprika, onion powder, and garlic powder, is drizzled over the finished tots adding a tangy and spiced note reminiscent of a burger sauce.
These Cheeseburger Tots serve as a playful snack or appetizer that highlights familiar cheeseburger flavors combined with crispy tater tot texture in a convenient finger food style.
