Cheesy Ham and Noodle Casserole

This Cheesy Ham and Noodle Casserole features diced ham and elbow macaroni enveloped in a creamy mixture of cheddar cheese soup, sour cream, and shredded cheddar and mozzarella cheeses. Seasoned with garlic, onion powder, salt, and pepper, the casserole is baked until bubbly and topped with melted cheese, resulting in a comforting, hearty dish with rich creamy cheese flavor and tender pasta.

Description

The casserole begins by cooking elbow macaroni until tender and combining it with diced ham. A mixture of cheddar cheese soup, sour cream, milk, and seasonings forms a creamy sauce that binds the ingredients together. Adding shredded cheddar and mozzarella cheeses contributes sharpness and gooey texture. The mixture is poured into a prepared baking dish and covered with foil to bake evenly, melding flavors and melting the cheese stuffing.

After initial baking, foil is removed and reserved cheese sprinkled over the top, returning the dish to the oven briefly to brown the cheese. The result is a creamy, cheesy pasta bake with savory ham pieces distributed evenly throughout. This casserole makes a satisfying main course suitable for family meals, combining simple ingredients with comfort food qualities.
