Cheesy Herb Stuffing

A non traditional stuffing. This Cheesy Herb Stuffing recipe has dill, chives and fresh parsley along with a buttery, savory flavor.

  • 1/2 cup onion white, diced
  • 1/2 cup butter salted
  • 12 ounces bread stuffing cubes
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper ground
  • 1 teaspoon dill dried
  • 1 teaspoon chives dried
  • 1 cup chicken stock
  • 2 large egg whisked
  • 8 ounces cheddar cheese divided, shredded
  • 2 tablespoons parsley freshly snipped

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350ºF. Spray a 2-quart casserole dish with cooking spray.
  2. In a frying pan, sauté the onion in the butter for 10-12 minutes, or until the onion is tender. 1/2 cup diced white onion, 1/2 cup salted butter
  3. Place the bread cubes in a large bowl. Pour the butter and onion mixture over the bread cubes and mix. Add the seasonings, chicken stock, eggs and all but 1/3 cup cheddar cheese (set this aside for topping). 12 ounces bread stuffing cubes, 1 teaspoon salt, 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper, 1 teaspoon dried dill, 1 teaspoon dried chives, 1 cup chicken stock, 2 large eggs, 8 ounces shredded cheddar cheese
  4. Put the stuffing in the prepared pan. Sprinkle the remaining cheddar cheese on top of the stuffing.
  5. Bake for 30 minutes or until golden brown.
  6. Sprinkle the top with fresh parsley before serving. 2 tablespoons freshly snipped parsley
