Cheesy Loaded Tater Tot Recipe
Description
This recipe starts by cooking frozen tater tots according to package instructions—either by baking or frying—until crisp. The cooked tots are spread in a baking dish, seasoned with salt and pepper, then topped evenly with shredded Mexican cheese blend and crumbled crispy bacon. Broiling for a few minutes melts the cheese and warms the bacon, creating a gooey, flavorful topping. A sprinkling of fresh chopped chives or scallions adds a mild onion freshness to finish.
The dish holds a satisfying contrast between the crunchy exterior of the tots and the melted, savory cheese and bacon. It can be served hot as a casual appetizer, side dish, or comfort snack without complicated preparation.
