Cheesy Mexican Layer Dip

Cheesy Mexican Layer Dip layers seasoned ground turkey with refried beans, salsa, and green chilies, topped with melted Mexican cheese blend and fresh diced tomato, avocado, cotija cheese, scallions, and cilantro. It’s a warm, savory dish with varied textures from creamy beans to melted cheese and fresh toppings, ideal for serving with baked tortilla chips.

Description

This dip begins by cooking ground turkey with cumin, smoked paprika, garlic powder, chili powder, and salt until browned and flavorful. Refried beans are incorporated into the meat, forming a hearty base layer spread evenly in a baking dish. Salsa and diced green chilies are poured over and baked until bubbling.

The dish is then topped with shredded Mexican cheese blend and returned to the oven until melted and slightly bubbly. Final garnishes – diced tomato (seeded), diced avocado, crumbled cotija cheese, scallions, and chopped cilantro – add freshness, creaminess, and bright flavors that contrast with the warm layered filling.

Serving the dip warm with baked tortilla chips provides a satisfying combination of textures and flavors, making it suitable for casual gatherings or snacks.
