Cherry and Almond Quick Bread

Cherry and Almond Quick Bread is a moist, tender loaf made by combining unsalted butter, almond paste, sugar, eggs, and flour with baking powder and salt. Sweet cherries folded into the batter add bursts of juicy fruitiness throughout the bread. Baking yields a golden crust with a soft crumb enriched by the almond paste's nutty flavor. It's suited for breakfast, snacks, or dessert served warm or at room temperature.

Description

This quick bread blends room-temperature unsalted butter with almond paste until smooth before adding sugar and eggs. The dry ingredients—flour, baking powder, and salt—are incorporated alternately with milk to form a tender batter. Chopped sweet cherries are gently folded in for bursts of juicy sweetness.

Baked in a bread pan at 350 degrees Fahrenheit, the loaf develops a golden-brown top and pulls slightly away from the pan edges, indicating doneness. The almond paste adds moistness and a subtle nutty depth that complements the cherries.

The bread is enjoyable warm or cooled to room temperature, making it versatile for breakfast with butter or as a snack. The combination of fruit and almond gives it a distinctive flavor profile that differs from traditional quick breads.
