Chia Seed Pudding

Chia Seed Pudding blends almond milk and yogurt with chia seeds to create a creamy, textured pudding. The mixture thickens after refrigerating, developing a custard-like consistency. Sweetened with honey and topped with fresh fruit, it provides a versatile option for breakfast or a snack that can be customized with different flavorings.

Description

Chia Seed Pudding is prepared by soaking chia seeds in a milk base combined with yogurt and honey, which allows the seeds to absorb the liquid and swell, creating a pudding with a unique, gel-like texture. The pudding is refrigerated for several hours, enabling the mixture to thicken fully. This recipe offers flexibility in ingredient choices, permitting various milk substitutes and yogurt flavors, with optional spices like cinnamon or vanilla to enhance flavor.

The pudding’s mild flavor and creamy texture make it a good base for fresh fruit toppings, offering natural sweetness and added nutritional benefits. It can be served cold and is suitable for meal prepping since it holds well in the refrigerator for a few days.

Flavor additions such as vanilla extract or spices can be adjusted to taste, and sweetener levels modified depending on the yogurt or milk used. The yogurt is optional and can be omitted if desired.
