Chick-Fil-A Breakfast Burrito
Description
This recipe begins with cooking frozen tater tots according to package instructions to achieve a crispy exterior and soft interior. Separately, chicken nuggets, whether homemade or store-bought, are cooked and sliced into strips about half an inch thick. Eggs are beaten with milk and salt, then scrambled in a skillet to a pale, frothy consistency. The flour tortillas are briefly microwaved to make them pliable for wrapping.
To assemble, scrambled eggs, chicken strips, tater tots, and shredded cheddar and Monterey Jack cheeses are evenly divided among the tortillas. Each tortilla is then folded into a burrito. The mix of textures—creamy eggs, crisp tater tots, juicy chicken, and melty cheeses—makes each bite rich and filling. The burritos can be served fresh with salsa if desired.
Though best served immediately to enjoy the contrasting textures, the components can be prepared ahead and refrigerated for up to five days. Burritos should then be assembled just before eating to preserve freshness and prevent sogginess.
