Chick-fil-A Cobb Salad Recipe
Description
This salad uses chicken nuggets cooked in an air fryer until crisp, layered over a bed of chopped lettuce along with sweet corn, crumbled cooked bacon, sliced grape tomatoes, shredded Monterey Jack and cheddar cheeses, and hard-boiled eggs. The components bring varied textures and flavors, from juicy and crunchy to creamy and smoky.
Assembly involves dividing all ingredients evenly into four servings or storing them separately for later combination with dressing. The avocado lime dressing adds a fresh, tangy complement but can be substituted according to preference.
The recipe includes guidance for hard-boiling eggs precisely for good peelability and texture, and tips for storing prepared salad components and dressing separately to maintain freshness. Dairy-free options are also noted for cheese and dressing.
Ingredients
- 12 oz. chicken nuggets or chicken of choice, Just Bare brand
- 8 cups green leaf lettuce or greens of choice, chopped
- 1 (11-oz.) can corn drained
- 4 lices Bacon crumbled, cooked
- 4 egg store-bought or see notes for how to hard boil eggs, hard-boiled
- 1 cup grape tomatoes
- 1/2 cup cheese I used monterey jack and cheddar, thick shredded, 56g
- avocado lime dressing optional (or you can use store bought or dressing of choice)
Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer to 375 degrees F.
- Once preheated, add nuggets and air fry for 8-10 minutes or until crisp.
- Add 1/4 of everything to four bowls, or store components separately and assemble when ready to eat.
- Serve with avocado lime dressing, or dressing of choice, and enjoy!
Notes
- Use dairy-free cheese and dressing alternatives to make this salad dairy-free.
- Store the salad components separately in airtight containers in the refrigerator for 3-4 days to maintain freshness; keep dressing apart until serving.
- For hard-boiled eggs, boil eggs in water with added salt and vinegar for 10 minutes, then cool in cold water before peeling to ensure easy peelability.
