Ingredients
- 1/2 /2 cup butter
- 1 (8 ounce) package white mushrooms fresh, sliced
- 1 cup yellow onion finely diced
- 1/2 /2 cup green bell pepper chopped finely
- 1/2 /2 cup flour
- 2 cups chicken broth low-sodium
- 3 cups chicken shredded or cubed, cooked
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 3/4 /4 cup peas frozen
- 4 ounces diced pimentos canned, drained

Instructions
- Melt butter in a large saucepan. Add mushrooms, onion and bell pepper. Saute for a few minutes until veggies are soft and mushrooms are golden brown.
- Sprinkle flour over mixture and stir for a few minutes. Slowly whisk in chicken broth and cook over medium heat until thickened.
- Reduce heat to low. Add the chicken, cream, peas, pimentos, and garlic powder. Simmer for a few minutes until heated through. Add salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve over toast, egg noodles, or biscuits.
