Chicken Alfredo Dip
Description
This dip begins by combining coarsely chopped cooked chicken with Alfredo sauce, cream cheese, Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, and half of the shredded mozzarella cheese. The mixture is spread into a greased baking dish, topped with the remaining mozzarella, and baked at 375°F until hot and bubbly. A final brief broil adds golden color to the cheese layer. The finished dip is garnished with cooked crumbled bacon, diced tomatoes, and chopped parsley for freshness and added texture.
The creamy texture from the Alfredo and cream cheese creates a thick, luscious dip that is balanced by the savory bacon and the slight acidity from the tomatoes. The Italian seasoning blends with the cheeses to provide a mild herbaceous note.
Serve warm as a party appetizer with bread, crackers, or vegetables. This dip can be made with store-bought or homemade Alfredo sauce as preferred.
