Description
Chicken Alfredo Roll Ups start with cooked shredded chicken blended with Alfredo sauce, shredded mozzarella cheese, oregano, and garlic salt. Cooked al dente lasagna noodles are spread with an equal portion of the chicken mixture, rolled, and placed seam side down in a greased 8x8 baking dish. After all roll-ups are arranged, remaining Alfredo sauce and cheese are poured on top. Baking at 350°F for 30 minutes melts the cheese and warms the filling. This method keeps the pasta tender but not overcooked, while the sauce and cheese create a creamy enveloping layer.
The dish can be served as a main course for dinner or a hearty lunch with a side salad or steamed vegetables. The garlicky Alfredo base and melted mozzarella complement the chicken for a rich taste and smooth texture. Ingredients
- 9 lasagna noodles
- 14.5 ounces Alfredo sauce with garlic
- 1 pound chicken cooked, shredded
- ½ teaspoon oregano
- 1 teaspoon garlic salt
- 2 cups mozzarella cheese shredded
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Spray an 8×8 inch pan with non-stick spray. Pour ½ cup Alfredo sauce on bottom of pan and set aside.
- Cook lasagna noodles until they are al dente. Don’t overcook them as you will be baking them also. Drain and rinse the noodles with cold water so they don’t stick together.
- While they are cooking mix together the 1 cup Alfredo, 1 cup mozzarella cheese, chicken, garlic salt and oregano.
- Lay out the noodles and blot the water off of them with a paper towel. Spread 1/9 of chicken mixture on noodle. Roll up the lasagna noodle. Place the roll-ups, seam side down in the pan. Repeat with all of the noodles.
- Once they are all in the pan pour the rest of the Alfredo sauce over them. Top with the remaining cheese. Bake in preheated oven at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 30 minutes.
Notes
- Store leftovers in an airtight container or tightly wrap the baking dish; they keep 2–3 days refrigerated.
- It is recommended to freeze the roll-ups before baking rather than after for best texture on reheating.
