Chicken and Stuffing Oven Bake
Description
This Chicken and Stuffing Oven Bake begins by preparing a savory-sweet stuffing mix with cranberry sauce, chicken broth, heavy cream, a beaten egg, and seasoning. Separately, onions, carrots, celery, and garlic are sautéed until tender, then combined into the stuffing mix along with dry stuffing mix. Chicken breast pieces are seasoned and placed in a baking dish, then covered with the stuffing blend pressed flat on top.
Baked at 350 degrees for 45 minutes, the chicken cooks through while the stuffing sets into a cohesive layer with moisture from the liquids and butter in the sautéed vegetables. The combination provides a balance of soft cooked chicken chunks and a richly flavored stuffing featuring the sweetness of cranberry alongside savory vegetables and spices. The garlic is gently cooked to avoid bitterness, preserving its mild aroma.
This dish can be served immediately as a standalone entrée or alongside simple sides to complement the full-flavored stuffing. It is a practical comfort food blending meat and stuffing in one pan, suitable for an easy family dinner.

- 1 can (16 oz) cranberry sauce whole berry
- 4 cups chicken stuffing mix or turkey stuffing mix; 2 6 oz boxes
- ¾ cup chicken broth

- 2 ribs celery diced
- 1 tablespoon garlic minced
- 1 teaspoon paprika

Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Prepare a 13x9 inch pan with cooking spray and set aside. In a large sized bowl combine cranberry sauce, broth, cream, egg, paprika, salt, and pepper. Set aside. In a large skillet, over medium heat, melt 3 tablespoons of butter. Add onions, carrots and celery and cook until tender, between 4-7 minutes. Add garlic right before the vegetables are done. You do not want the garlic to burn. The garlic should cook for no more then a minute. Dump onion mixture into cranberry sauce mixture and stir. Add stuffing mix stir to combine. Set aside.
- Rinse and pat chicken breasts chunks dry with paper towels. Season with salt and pepper. Sprinkle chicken all over the bottom of your prepared pan. Cover chicken completely with stuffing mixture. Gently press stuffing mixture down so that the top surface is somewhat flat. Bake for 45 minutes. Serve immediately and enjoy!
