Chicken Bacon Ranch Pizza
Description
The recipe begins with preparing a pizza crust—either homemade or store-bought. A mixture of ranch dip seasoning blended into softened cream cheese forms an herbed, creamy sauce spread evenly over the crust's surface. Shredded mozzarella cheese is layered on top, followed by cooked, cubed chicken and crumbled cooked bacon, then more mozzarella to cover the toppings.
Baking at 425°F for 20-25 minutes develops a golden brown crust and melts the cheeses into a cohesive topping. The ranch and cream cheese add a tangy richness that complements the savory bacon and tender chicken. Baking on the oven's bottom rack or using a pizza stone helps achieve a crispy crust while keeping the inside chewy.
This pizza is suitable for main meals and reheats well in several ways, including air fryer, oven, or stovetop skillet to restore crispness. The notes include guidance on making homemade dough, selecting store-bought crusts, and reheating methods that preserve texture and flavor.
Ingredients
- 1 pizza crust
- 3 c. mozzarella cheese divided, shredded
- 8 oz cream cheese softened
- 1 oz ranch dip mix
- 8 Bacon cooked and crumbled, strips
- 1 lb chicken cooked and cubed
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
- Prepare pizza crust according to package directions or make your favorite homemade pizza crust.
- In a small bowl cream together ranch mix and cream cheese. Spread over pizza crust
- Top cream cheese mixture with 2 c. mozzarella cheese. Top with chicken, bacon and the rest of your cheese.
- Bake at 425 degrees for 20-25 minutes or until pizza is golden brown.
Notes
- Homemade pizza dough is recommended for a crispy outside and chewy inside crust; it makes two crusts so you can freeze one for later.
- If using store-bought dough, a refrigerated Pillsbury crust works well, yielding a square pizza.
- Bake pizza on the oven's bottom rack or use a pizza stone to achieve crispiness.
- Reheat leftover pizza slices in an air fryer at 360°F for about 3 minutes for crisp results.
- Alternatively, reheat in a 350°F oven for 10 minutes or in a skillet over medium-low heat covering with a lid for melty cheese and crisp bottom.
