Chicken Caesar Salad
Description
This recipe layers salted and cooked ingredients over chopped romaine lettuce or salad greens. Crumbled bacon adds a smoky crunch, while sliced boiled eggs contribute creaminess and protein. Cooked and seasoned chicken breast provides the main protein element. Cherry tomatoes lend acidity and freshness. Croutons add crisp texture, and Parmesan cheese grated and shaved delivers salty, nutty flavor. Caesar dressing ties all components together with its signature tang.
The dish can be served as two large main salads or four smaller side portions. It pairs well with garlic bread, grilled corn, or baked potatoes when used as a main. For side salads, it complements pizza, sandwiches, wraps, or soup. The salad's layered approach makes for a hearty, satisfying meal or accompaniment.
Ingredients can be prepped 2 to 3 days ahead and stored separately for convenience. Leftovers keep well for up to three days, though croutons lose crispness. Garnish with additional Parmesan and seasonings at serving time.
