Chicken Florentine Meatballs

Chicken Florentine Meatballs combine ground chicken with thawed spinach, Parmesan cheese, garlic, and breadcrumbs to form tender meatballs baked to a gentle golden finish. The meatballs are then simmered briefly in marinara sauce, infusing them with a rich tomato flavor and keeping them moist. This helps deliver a satisfying blend of savory, garlicky, and slightly cheesy notes throughout. Baking ensures a lighter alternative to fried options while maintaining a tender texture. They pair well with pasta or as a hearty appetizer when served warm with marinara.

Description

Chicken Florentine Meatballs bring together lean ground chicken, thawed and thoroughly drained spinach, grated Parmesan, minced garlic, and bread crumbs to build a moist, flavorful mixture. After baking at 400 degrees until cooked through and slightly firm, the meatballs are added to simmering marinara sauce for a few minutes, allowing them to absorb the tomato-based sauce’s essence. The garlic and Parmesan enhance the savory profile, while the spinach adds moisture and a subtle earthiness.

The result is tender, well-seasoned meatballs with a slight chew from the chicken and a hint of fresh spinach throughout. The brief simmering in marinara coats each bite with sauce, balancing richness and acidity. This method avoids frying, promoting a lighter texture without sacrificing flavor.

These meatballs can be served alongside pasta, in a sub sandwich, or as a warm appetizer dish. The sauce keeps them moist and ready to enjoy immediately after cooking.
