Chicken Lazone with Mushrooms

Chicken Lazone with Mushrooms features tender chicken tenderloins seasoned with a chili and garlic-spiced rub, pan-seared with sautéed mushrooms and onions. It’s finished with a creamy milk-based sauce thickened with corn starch that complements the spiced chicken and earthy mushrooms. This dish pairs well with pasta, rice, or quinoa for a complete meal.

Description

Chicken Lazone with Mushrooms combines flavorful chicken tenderloins coated in a blend of chili powder, garlic powder, onion powder, and cayenne pepper, imparting subtle heat and depth. The mushrooms, onions, and garlic are sautéed in olive oil until tender and fragrant, providing an earthy base. The chicken is cooked in butter until done, creating a lightly browned exterior. A mixture of milk and corn starch is added to the pan and simmered to form a thick, creamy sauce that melds the spices and juices from the chicken and vegetables.

The result is a dish with seasoned chicken pieces in a smooth, mildly spicy sauce enriched with butter and mushrooms’ umami. The method highlights stovetop cooking, marrying the components in one pan for flavor development and convenience.

Serving suggestions include pairing the dish with pasta, rice, or quinoa, which soak up the creamy sauce and provide a balanced meal. The dish suits main courses where a flavored but not overly complex cream sauce is desired.
