Chicken Parmesan Sliders
Description
These Chicken Parmesan Sliders start with fully cooked breaded chicken tenders placed onto slider rolls cut in half. A layer of pasta sauce is spooned over the chicken, followed by shredded mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses mixed together to mimic classic chicken Parmesan flavors. The tops of the slider buns are brushed with melted butter combined with garlic powder and sprinkled with Italian seasoning to provide a fragrant, seasoned crust after baking.
The assembled sliders are baked covered with foil to warm and melt the cheese without drying out the bread, then baked uncovered to brown the cheese and toast the buns lightly. The result is a slider with a crisp top, melted cheese, and saucy, crunchy chicken tenders inside. These sliders make for easy, shareable servings suitable for casual meals and gatherings.
Ingredients
- 12 slider roll
- 1 pound breaded chicken tenders weight is approx, fully cooked
- 2 cups pasta sauce
- 2 cups mozzarella cheese shredded
- 1/2 cup Parmesan Cheese shredded
- 3 tablespoon butter melted
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder more to taste
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- Place the bottom half of the slider buns in a greased casserole dish.
- Place cooked chicken tenders on the bottom buns and then spoon the sauce over the chicken.
- Combine the mozzarella and Parmesan cheese and sprinkle it over the sauce.
- Place the top buns on the sliders.
- Melt the butter and mix the garlic powder in until it is thoroughly combined. (feel free to add more garlic powder if you like garlic as much as I do!)
- Pour the melted butter over the buns and then sprinkle with Italian seasoning.
- Cover the dish with foil and bake for 10 minutes, then remove the foil and continue baking for another 10 minutes or until cheese is melted.
