Chicken Ranch Macaroni and Cheese

Chicken Ranch Macaroni and Cheese pairs ranch-seasoned cubed chicken with a creamy, homemade cheese sauce mixed with elbow macaroni. The sauce incorporates ranch seasoning directly, along with white cheddar and mozzarella cheeses, creating a savory and tangy flavor. Crispy bacon crumbles are served on top rather than mixed in, preserving their texture. This dish delivers a hearty, rich comfort food suitable for a filling meal, highlighting a distinct ranch flavor in a classic macaroni and cheese.

Description

Chicken Ranch Macaroni and Cheese features ranch-seasoned chicken cooked separately, then topped onto elbow macaroni enveloped in a creamy cheese sauce infused with ranch seasoning, white cheddar, and mozzarella. The chicken is cubed, seasoned, and sautéed until golden brown, with careful timing to keep it tender and warm. Butter and flour create a roux for the macaroni and cheese sauce, and warm milk is gradually added and thickened on heat before the cheeses and seasonings complete the sauce.

The dish balances the tangy ranch flavor against smooth, cheesy noodles with crispy bacon added as topping, rather than folded in. This helps retain the bacon's crunch. The recipe advises serving chicken and bacon on top to maintain distinct textures and flavors rather than mixing everything together. The combination results in a satisfying dish where each ingredient contributes individually.

For best results, cook the pasta al dente and add the chicken in batches to maintain an even sear. Adjust salt and pepper to taste, and garnish with chopped parsley. Serving the chicken and bacon separately allows diners to combine ingredients according to their texture preference.
