Description

The recipe combines cooked or canned chicken with softened cream cheese, milk, salt, and pepper to make a creamy filling. Ingredients

  • 25 ounces chicken or 2 cups cooked and shredded chicken, canned, drained
  • 8 ounces cream cheese softened, package
  • 2 teaspoons milk
  • salt
  • black pepper
  • 2 tubes crescent rolls refrigerated
  • 1 cup croutons panko bread crumbs, bread crumbs, crushed Ritz crackers, or cracker crumbs can all be used, crushed
  • 1 tick butter melted

Optional add-ins to the chicken filling

  • mushroom fresh or canned
  • onion diced
  • celery chopped

Instructions

  1. Blend together first four ingredients.
  2. Separate crescent rolls into triangles.
  3. Spoon chicken into the bottom of the triangle, fold in the bottom corners, and roll up.
  4. Lightly roll in melted butter then roll in crushed croutons.
  5. Place on un-greased cookie sheet and bake at 350 for 20 minutes.
  6. If desired, serve with a sauce of cream of chicken soup diluted with 1/2 cup milk over the chicken roll ups. I also like to add salt, pepper, parsley, cayenne, and curry to the sauce.
