Chicken Salad Recipe with Grapes
Description
Chicken Salad Recipe with Grapes uses shredded rotisserie chicken combined with diced celery and sweet fruits including halved red grapes and drained mandarin oranges. The addition of lemon juice and onion powder provides subtle tart and savory notes while Montreal steak seasoning adds a hint of robust flavor. Mayonnaise binds the ingredients together, creating a creamy texture that contrasts with the crunchy almonds mixed in. The chicken and seasoning are combined and chilled before adding the fruits and mayonnaise, which helps the flavors develop fully. Serving this salad on split croissants creates a rich and satisfying sandwich with a mix of textures and fresh flavors.
The grapes and mandarin oranges contribute bursts of natural sweetness, balancing the savory seasoned chicken. The diced celery gives a fresh crispness that complements the softness of the chicken and mayonnaise. Slivered almonds add a nutty crunch for an added textural element. This combination of ingredients makes the salad both flavorful and enjoyable to eat cold or chilled.
The salad can be prepared ahead of time and chilled for several hours or overnight. When ready to serve, spoon the salad into split croissants, which offer a flaky and buttery base that stands up well to the moist filling. This recipe provides a versatile chicken salad ideal for lunch or a light dinner option.
