Chickpea Stew Recipe with Chicken
Description
This Chickpea Stew Recipe with Chicken combines boneless chicken breast cooked until tender with a sauté of onions, carrots, and garlic. Garbanzo beans and tomato puree form the stew’s base, while molasses and chopped unsweetened chocolate add subtle sweetness and depth. The garam masala spices inject warm, aromatic notes balancing the savory and sweet elements.
The cooking method, starting with searing the chicken and then simmering the vegetable and bean mixture, allows the flavors to meld and intensify. The texture contrasts the tender chicken and carrots with the creamy chickpeas, creating a comforting dish with complexity from the seasoning.
Serve this stew alongside couscous or quinoa to soak up the flavorful sauce, offering a balanced and satisfying meal. The chicken adds protein without overpowering the distinctive flavor combination, making it excellent for those who enjoy hearty stews with a hint of sweetness and spice.
