  • 1 packet chili seasoning or your own mix
  • 29 ounce tomato sauce canned
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 pound macaroni
  • 1/2 cup chili sauce Heniz

Instructions

  1. In a large pot over medium heat, brown the ground beef. Drain the fat and add the chili seasoning, tomato sauce, and brown sugar.
  2. Stir to combine and simmer over low heat for 15 minutes.
  3. While the chili is simmering, bring a large pot of water to a boil. Add the macaroni and cook according to package directions. Drain the macaroni and return to the pot.
  4. Pour the chili into the pan with the cooked macaroni. Add the chili sauce and stir to combine.
  5. Serve with cheese, onions, and sour cream.

Notes

  • Ground beef may be replaced with turkey for a leaner option.
  • Any pasta shape can be used according to preference.
  • Heinz brand chili sauce is recommended and can be found near ketchup; it adds essential flavor and should not be omitted.
