Chili Mac Skillet

Chili Mac Skillet combines ground beef, diced onions, garlic, elbow macaroni, and a rich tomato base seasoned with chili powder and herbs. The macaroni simmers in a spiced tomato and beef broth until tender, then is topped with sharp cheddar cheese for a creamy finish. This all-in-one skillet meal offers a comforting texture with savory, mildly spicy flavors and is practical for a hearty weeknight dinner.

Description

Chili Mac Skillet blends ground beef sautéed with onion and garlic alongside elbow macaroni cooked in a robust mixture of crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, beef broth, and beef bouillon. Herbs such as parsley, basil, oregano, and chili powder build layers of flavor, balancing acidity with aromatic warmth. Cooking the macaroni directly in the tomato-meat sauce results in a cohesive dish where pasta absorbs the seasoned broth.

The sharp cheddar melted on top adds a creamy texture and sharp contrast to the spiced sauce. The dish is served warm, making it suitable as a filling main course. This recipe uses simple pantry staples and requires only one pan for easy cleanup.

Monitor the macaroni while cooking to ensure tenderness without overcooking, adding water if needed to maintain moisture. Season to taste with salt and pepper before serving.
