Chimichurri Steak

Chimichurri Steak is delicious combination of grilled flank steak and simple chimichurri sauce. It is a great summer grilling recipe for family dinners.

Ingredients

  • 2 pound flank steak can use skirt steak also
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • chimichurri sauce

Instructions

  1. Lightly salt and pepper your flank steak and let it sit out and come to room temperature (about 30 minutes).
  2. Heat your grill to 450 F.
  3. While the steak comes to room temperature and the grill heats up make your chimichurri sauce.
  4. When the grill is ready place the flank steak on the grill and cook for approximately 5 minutes on each side or until steak reaches internal temperature of 125 F - 145 F. 
  5. When the steak is done bring it in and let it rest for 15 minutes. Then cut across the grain, slicing the beef into thin strips.
  6. Top with chimichurri sauce and enjoy!
