Chipotle Cilantro Lime Rice Recipe
Description
This recipe involves boiling long grain rice in water until fully cooked and tender, then seasoning it with garlic salt for a subtle spice and saltiness. Freshly chopped cilantro is stirred through to infuse herbal notes, while freshly squeezed lime juice adds acidity and brightness. After mixing, the rice is rested covered for several minutes to allow flavors to meld and liquids to evenly distribute.
The finished rice is fluffy with separate grains and offers a distinct fresh lime aroma paired with the grassy cilantro and a gentle garlic undertone. It works well as a side dish to complement grilled proteins, beans, or spicy dishes, providing a cooling and flavorful base.
Leftover rice can be refrigerated in airtight containers for up to 5–7 days or frozen for 2–3 months, making it convenient for meal prep and reheating.
