Chocolate Brownies

These Chocolate Brownies are a classic dessert featuring a rich blend of melted butter and dark chocolate combined with sugar, eggs, and flour for a fudgy texture. Chocolate chips add bursts of melty pockets throughout the batter. Baking at 180°C ensures the edges set while the center remains slightly underbaked, keeping brownies moist and dense. After cooling, they are cut into large squares ideal for sharing or serving as a comforting treat.

Description

The recipe starts by melting unsalted butter and dark chocolate together, creating a smooth chocolate base. Sugar is mixed in next along with eggs, flour, and vanilla extract to form a thick batter. Chocolate chips are folded in, offering additional chocolate texture once baked. The batter is poured into a parchment-lined square baking tin.

Baked at 180°C for about 20 minutes, the brownies should appear just set in the center but still moist, avoiding overbaking for a chewy, fudgy result. Cooling on a rack allows the brownies to firm up, making them easier to slice into squares.

This straightforward method yields classic chocolate brownies balancing richness and sweetness, suitable for a dessert or snack. They can be served plain or with toppings like ice cream, though none is specified here.
