Chocolate Chip Banana Bread Recipe

This Chocolate Chip Banana Bread blends overripe bananas with a mix of sugars, vegetable oil, eggs, vanilla, and sour cream for moist batter enriched with chocolate chips. Baked in loaf pans, it produces tender quick bread with sweet banana flavor and melty chocolate dispersed throughout.

Description

The recipe produces a moist banana bread by creaming together sugars, oil, and eggs, then adding vanilla, sour cream, and mashed overripe bananas. Dry ingredients including flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, and a whipped topping mix are combined separately before being blended into the wet batter, which creates a tender crumb. Chocolate chips folded into the batter distribute sweetness and texture throughout the bread.

The bread is baked in two large loaf pans at 350°F until golden and cooked through. The overripe bananas provide natural sweetness and moisture, while sour cream adds richness and softness to the crumb. The whipped topping mix contributes additional tenderness.

Once baked and cooled, the banana bread makes a satisfying snack or breakfast item. The chocolate chips add pockets of melted chocolate for a pleasant contrast to the banana flavor.
