Chocolate Chip Pumpkin Bread
Description
Chocolate Chip Pumpkin Bread combines canned pumpkin and a blend of brown and granulated sugars with typical quick bread leaveners and pumpkin pie spices to yield a moist, flavorful loaf. Chocolate chips scattered throughout add pockets of melted sweetness, contrasting with the soft, spiced bread. The batter is stirred just until combined to keep the texture tender and avoid toughness. Baking at 350 degrees in a prepared loaf pan results in a golden crust and dense, moist interior.
The spice mix and pumpkin provide seasonal flavor notes, while chocolate chips introduce richness, making the bread well suited for autumn or holiday meals. It can be sliced and served plain or with butter for breakfast or a snack.
To store, keep wrapped tightly on the counter up to two days or refrigerate for up to a week. For longer preservation, slices can be individually wrapped and frozen for up to three months, then thawed before serving. Rewarming slices briefly in the microwave refreshes the texture.
