Chocolate Covered Graham Crackers
Description
This recipe uses halved graham crackers dipped into melted semisweet chocolate disks heated in short bursts in the microwave until smooth. Excess chocolate is tapped off to prevent overly thick coatings. The coated crackers are then placed on parchment paper to set and firm.
Once the initial layer has hardened, the remaining chocolate is piped or drizzled over the crackers for added visual appeal and depth. The finished snacks combine the familiar taste of graham crackers with a smooth, slightly bitter chocolate layer, delivering a simple to prepare and enjoyable sweet bite.
Ingredients
- 12 graham cracker sheets cut in half
- 16 ounces semisweet chocolate disks
Instructions
- Melt the chocolate in a microwave safe bowl in 30 second increments.
- Dip the graham cracker halves, tapping with a fork, scrape most of the chocolate off the fork and place onto parchment paper to harden.
- Place remaining chocolate into piping bag and squeeze over graham crackers and allow to harden fully before eating.
