Ingredients
- 1 cup Overnight Oats by Dave's Gourmet Cinnamon Raisin
- 4 oz espresso
- 2 Tablespoons almond milk
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips
Instructions
To Make the Overnight Oats
- Add one shot (about 2 ounces) of espresso to your container of Dave's Gourmet Overnight Oats, along with 2 Tablespoons of almond milk (or milk of choice).
- Stir with a spoon to make sure the liquid reaches the bottom and that all the oats are coated evenly.
- Cover and refrigerate overnight (or a minimum of 4 hours). This allows the oats to "cook" and the flavors to fully soak in.
- When you're ready to enjoy, uncover and stir with a spoon to distribute flavors. Top with coffee chocolate drizzle for an extra boost (recipe below).
- If you prefer warm cereal, microwave for about 30 seconds. However, these espresso overnight oats taste just as amazing cold!
- For the Coffee Chocolate Drizzle:
- Add 2 ounces of hot espresso and 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips to a double boiler over medium heat or microwave-safe mixing bowl. Whisk together until chocolate melts into the espresso and the sauce thickens.
- Drizzle over your espresso overnight oats for even more rich coffee flavor. Any leftover sauce can be stored in a sealed container in the fridge for next time.
