Chocolate Hazelnut Smoothie Bowl
Description
This smoothie bowl starts by blending milk with frozen bananas to form a cold, creamy foundation. Nutella adds a balanced hazelnut and chocolate sweetness while cocoa powder intensifies the chocolate notes. The mixture is blended until smooth and uniform, and sweeteners can be added to adjust the flavor.
By pouring into a bowl and garnishing with chocolate chips, chopped hazelnuts, and cacao nibs, the dish offers contrasting textures and an enhanced chocolate-hazelnut experience. The frozen bananas keep the smoothie thick enough to support toppings without sinking.
Consume immediately for best flavor and creaminess since the blend may settle after refrigeration. It is a versatile bowl-style smoothie combining indulgent elements with the nutritional benefits of fruit and nuts.
Leftovers can be stored briefly in a covered container but are best consumed fresh. Any milk type can be used as a base. Toppings do not affect the nutritional content but contribute texture and flavor contrast.
Ingredients
- ¼ cup milk
- 2 banana frozen
- 1 tablespoon Nutella
- 1 tablespoon cocoa powder
- chocolate chips for topping
- hazelnuts for topping, chopped
- cacao nibs for topping
Instructions
- Place the milk into a high speed blender first. Then add the frozen bananas, Nutella and cacao powder.
- Blend thoroughly on high speed for 1 minute until the mixture is completely smooth. You may need to stop and scrape down the blender depending on the strength of the blender you’re using.
- Taste and adjust the flavor as needed, by adding a sweetener of choice for added sweetness or more cacao powder for a richer chocolate flavor.
- Pour into a bowl and top if off chocolate chips, hazelnuts and cacao nibs, if desired.
- Serve immediately for best flavor and consistency.
Notes
- Store leftovers in a sealed container and consume within 24 hours for best quality.
- If the smoothie separates after refrigeration, stir with a fork to recombine before serving.
- Any choice of milk can be used according to preference without affecting the core recipe.
- Toppings like chocolate chips, hazelnuts, and cacao nibs add texture but are optional.
