Ingredients

Servings
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups unsweetened almond milk

Instructions

  1. In a medium-sized mixing bowl, combine rolled oats, unsweetened cocoa powder, chia seeds, and salt.
  2. Pour in the almond milk, maple syrup, and vanilla extract. Stir the mixture until all ingredients are well combined.
  3. Divide the mixture between two airtight containers or mason jars. Seal the containers and place them in the refrigerator overnight, or for at least 8 hours, to allow the oats to soak and thicken.
  4. In the morning, stir the oats well. If the mixture is too thick, add a little more almond milk to reach your desired consistency. Serve cold, or if preferred, gently warm in the microwave before eating.
