Description
The smoothie starts by blending frozen bananas, coconut water, vanilla extract, sweetener such as maple syrup or agave, and optionally ice until smooth. Separately, cocoa powder and peanut butter are blended into just less than half of the base mixture to intensify the chocolate and nut flavor while preserving banana's creaminess. These two parts are then combined for a smoothie that is creamy with distinct chocolate-peanut butter notes.
The inclusion of frozen banana provides thickness and natural sweetness, while coconut water adds hydration and a light background flavor. The optional shredded coconut topping adds a mild tropical texture contrast. This smoothie works as a refreshing, nutrient-rich beverage or snack.
Ingredients
- 3 medium banana frozen
- salt a pinch
- 2 cups coconut water
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 tablespoon sweetener I used maple syrup and agave
- 1 tablespoon cocoa powder
- 1 tablespoon peanut butter
- 1 cup ice optional
- coconut optional, shredded
Instructions
- Blend all ingredients EXCEPT cocoa powder and peanut butter.
- Take out just less than half the mixture and blend it separately adding the cocoa powder and peanut butter.
- Add back to other cup/ jar and top with shredded coconut.
