Chocolate Peanut Butter Bark
Description
This bark starts with semi-sweet chocolate chips gently melted at half power in the microwave and spread evenly on parchment-lined sheet pan forming a flat, broad base. Separately, peanut butter chips are melted in the same way, then blended with vegetable oil to make the peanut butter layer more fluid for drizzling.
The peanut butter is poured over the chocolate in an 'S' pattern and then swirled gently with a butter knife moved in an 'N' shape to create marbled layers and pattern. The bark is refrigerated until fully set and firm enough to break into chunks. This technique highlights the contrast between the dense chocolate and smooth peanut butter.
